And here are what I learned and created during my first semester in Summer 2007.

BVW Round 3

Major context of Boot Camp is “Building Virtual World”. Students work on five different immersive experiences with different teams during 14 weeks, each team randomly selected and lasts for 2 weeks. Selected student works are demonstrated at the end of the semester which became known as the “BVW SHOW”.
Through the course, we learn not only how to create more fun, immersive experiences, but more importantly, to work creatively and effectively as a team on a stressful situation.
The course teaches the basics of improvisational acting. What do we learn from it?
The skills necessary for successful teamwork: always supporting your teammates as well as the ongoing narrative. Improve is also a great way to learn to observe and interpret other people’s body language, which really helped me whenever is a time to playtest your experience. Your body tells a lot more than what you would or could say.
Quoting from ETC website, course combines the traditional notions of a film course – how to use the visual language from film – with the emerging notions of how interactivity changes the way we communicate with an audience.
For me, this course helped me to learn the importance of organizing and be proactive. In the team, my main role was shooting and editing.
