Get in Line was a student pitched project which began in Fall 2008 at Entertainment Technology Center, to find out how to enhance the experience of waiting in lines. I joined the team in my third semester and the object was to find a way to entertain and turn the waiting time into a positive, entertaining experience. As a proof of concept, we created a line experience for BVW SHOW .
For the prototype for BVW line, we partnered with a company called Megaphone which has a technology that turns your cellphone into a game controller simply by calling a local phone number. The guests chose to stand in one of two lines and complete with the other line throughout the 2 hours of waiting experience.
My role in the project was mainly artist, creating character concept, story animation and flash game assets.
The team is continuing on the evolution of line at Pittsburgh as a second round of semester.
